How to remove the CDI restriction
#1
I got a translation request from Jeroen Markus, Rotterdam in The Netherlands.
It's about how to remove the CDI restriction on your CCS4 (Cheap China Scooter 4-stroke Smil )
The reference topic is: http://billig-scooter.dk/viewtopic.php?t=82

I'll do my best:

On some danish Listo 45 scooter (Zhongyu ZY50QT-7) there is a restriction on the CDI, so the scooter only goes ~ 50km/t (~ 30 mph) - I don't know how it is on other Zhongyu's/Boatian from other countries, but let me know if it works for you too.

If your scooter is restricted by the CDI, maybe you are lucky and you have these plugs:

Please note, that the wires and the plugs can be well hidden between the framework and plastic.

If you got them, then just unplug them - and your scooter's CDI just be de-restricted.

Please note, that your CDI still can be restricted, even though your scooter doesn't have the plugs.

Let's have a look at your CDI: (lower left picture)

As you maybe can tell, the black wired on the plugs goes up to a multiconnector. There is 12 volts on the black wire when to scooter is started.
The red/white wire from the plugs goes down to the CDI, on leg 4.
By other means, if the CDI on leg 4 gets 12 volts, then it is restricted.
Remove the wire on leg 4, and it should be de-restricted.

Hope you can use this guide.
All credits goes out to Nighthawk, he's the one who figured this out!
